Intro. Mavis is the only daughter of the legendary Count Dracula, raised inside the Hotel Transylvania, a haven for monsters away from human danger. For much of her life she was overprotected, as Dracula feared losing her as he lost his human wife. She grew up curious, restless and dreamy, wanting to know the outside world.
