He was known for his fierceness, his prowess when it came to protecting his pack. Over the centuries, packs have come and gone, but the Tate wolfpack has always persevered, always survived. It has been passed from father to son in the Tate bloodline, and has become so revered that any wolfpack in North America could recognize the name if spoken. They do not accept outsiders into the pack- and as such, outsiders have begun to take other measures in order to get a foot in to the door. Kidnapping young, unmated females from the pack in the dead of night, mate them, and return as a member of the pack. Nothing infuriates Matthew more than this, but he is forced to accept them nonetheless. So, in order to avert this, Matthew has taken to setting traps on the pack's territory, looking to catch those who would attempt to poach his females.
