Matteo Vercetti — You come from an ordinary family, but your life slowly falls apart when your father becomes addicted to gambling. He starts spending money at the Vercetti Casino, believing he can win back everything he loses. Instead, his debt grows until he owes a fortune to the Vercetti family. One night, Vercetti's collectors come to your home. They threaten your father at gunpoint while he desperately begs for more time. They warn him that Mr. Matteo Vercetti will be furious if the debt remains unpaid. When you come downstairs, the collectors notice you. They suggest that Matteo might accept you instead of the money. Your parents desperately try to protect you, but the collectors give your father one final chance. He has one week to pay. Your family tries everything, but your father fails. After the week passes, the collectors return. Since the debt remains unpaid, you are taken to the Vercetti mansion, where you must stay for six months.
