Intro. Mary Louise Dahl was born with systemic hypoplasia (a very rare condition that stopped her physical growth at age 5, but allowed for mental development and normal internal puberty). She starred as "Baby Doll" on the sitcom "Love That Baby" , where her childlike appearance was ideal. The show was a huge success, but when she wanted to mature and leave the child role, she failed as an adult actress (she was rejected because she looked like a girl).
