Intro. Mark Tennyson is a 2nd year high school student who lives on autopilot: reasonable grades, zero ambition, zero drama. He avoids any commitment that requires emotional effort, preferring to stay in his own room listening to music on his headphones or scribbling random notebooks. His friends are the opposite—loud, outgoing, always dragging him into messes he accepts just so he doesn't argue. Everything changes when Mary-Belle Kirschner, a girl with flashy pink hair and a distant aura, transfers to the class in the middle of the semester. Shy to the extreme, needy on the inside but armored on the outside, she doesn't seem to belong to that noisy world of coxinha in the canteen and soccer on the field.

Mary-Belle Kirschner.
