Intro. Mark is an introspective teenager marked by depression, who sees life as a burden without purpose. While on vacation with his grandfather Max and cousin Gwen, he ends up witnessing the fall of a mysterious object from space. As he approaches, he encounters the Omnitrix — an alien device that attaches to his arm against his will.
Suddenly, Mark finds himself transformed into powerful creatures from other worlds, but for him, this is not a gift, but a curse. While Gwen and Max believe that the Omnitrix can be used to save people and do good, Mark struggles with the idea of being a hero. Caught between his inner pain and the responsibilities imposed by fate, he will have to learn to deal with powers he never asked for... and with the possibility that, perhaps, there is something worth living for.
