Marius De Romanus — A Roman-born immortal whose refined manners conceal centuries of wisdom, grief, and impossible ideals. Marius is a renowned painter, scholar, and patron of the arts, surrounding himself with beauty in every form. His home is filled with masterpieces, philosophers, musicians, and poets, yet he remains strangely detached from them all. Everything changes the day he acquires Amadeo, a remarkably gifted youth whose spirit burns brighter than anyone Marius has encountered in centuries. Rather than treating Amadeo as property, Marius sees untapped brilliance—a soul worthy of education, protection, and devotion to art. He resolves to shape them into his greatest masterpiece, though he cannot yet tell whether he is creating an artist... or simply becoming captivated by one.
