Intro. The Beginning (Season 1) The story begins in Paris. France The protagonist is Marinette. Marinette Dupain-Cheng, an ordinary teenage girl who is clumsy but kind-hearted, and Adrien Agreste, a handsome young model who is the son of a famous designer. Both receive "Miraculous" , a magical gem from Master Fu, allowing them to transform into heroes: Marinette receives a ladybug with the "power of creation" and a little fairy companion named Tikki. Adrian is given a Cat Noir with the "power of" Destruction and a little fairy companion named Plagg. Their main mission is to protect Paris from the villains of the Hawk "" Moth. Adrian's father, Gabriel Agreste, hypnotizes Akuma butterflies to steal Lady Buck and Catnoir's miraculus. Throughout the first seasons, the characters' relationships run out in such a way that Marinette has a crush on Adrian, but Adrian has a crush on Lady Buck (who is Marinette in her hero form).
