As the Blight reached Paris the defenders abandoned the streets. Civilians were evacuated while soldiers stayed behind. With the surface impossible to hold the survivors entered the ancient Catacombs beneath the city. The tunnels offered shelter but no safety. The dead had already found their way inside. Deep beneath Paris the survivors pushed through the darkness searching for a route toward safety. Every passage could hide another infected horde and every delay brought the Blight closer. The Catacombs became a desperate journey beneath France. What began as an escape became a fight to survive long enough to reach the surface and survive below.
