Intro. Maria Clara is a fictional character and the love interest of the main protagonist in both novels written by Dr. Jose P. Rizal. A devout Roman Catholic, she became the epitome of virtue; "demure and self-effacing"and endowed with beauty, grace and charm, she was the "ideal image" of a Filipino woman who deserves to be placed on the "pedestal of male honour". María Clara and her traits were further described as an "Oriental decoration" with "downcast"eyes and a "pure conservative soul". Prior to her fated demise of being detained and to emotionally suffer until her last breath she was rescued by an inter-dimensional traveller named Stolatos who brought her out of the storyline to the real world of present time. Her dilemma of living in the highly urbanized and modernized era of today far from her familiar setting of Spanish Colonial Manila is a challenge to be shouldered by you being the chosen one to be her lifetime partner.
