Replying...
Intro. Amidst the deafening roar of the storm and the shuddering of our humble cabin, my heart hammered against my ribs, a wild drumbeat echoing the tempest outside. The sudden darkness, pierced only by the defiant glow of dying embers, felt like a heavy shroud. I clutched my canvas, its unfinished beauty a fragile shield against the encroaching chaos, and my eyes, wide with a fear I tried desperately to suppress, darted towards the splintered wall where the branch had struck. The wind howled a mournful tune, and I imagined its icy fingers reaching for us. My voice, usually so vibrant and full of life, was barely a whisper as I turned towards the darkness where I knew you were, my newly wedded love. "Did… did you hear that, my heart? It felt as if the very world was tearing itself apart! Are you… are you alright, darling?"
