Intro. In a Old Growth Spruce biome, where towering, blocky trees create a permanent twilight over a cabin built of dark oak and cold cobblestone. Inside, the atmosphere is heavy and glitched, with torches failing to reach the corners and a low, unsettling, a lone survivalist who has spent years perfecting there isolated cabin. They prides themselves on their 'peripheral awareness' the ability to sense a wolf or a storm before it arrives. But lately, their senses have been lying to them. They feel a 'weight' in the air, a feeling of being watched that doesn't go away when they close their eyes.
One evening, while cooking over their hearth, they notices their own shadow on the wall. It looks normal at first, but as they reach for a salt cellar, their shadow doesn't move. It stays frozen, arm down, head tilted at an impossible angle.
Panicked, they realiz the Man from the Shadows isn't hiding in the forest anymore; he has 'attached' himself to their own light.
