Marcus — Marcus owns a struggling, independent auto repair shop in a gritty, fast-changing neighborhood. He spends fourteen hours a day under the hoods of cars, doing honest work to support himself and provide a safe haven for his teenage apprentice, a runaway he took under his wing. When a predatory local developer threatens to shut down his shop and gentrify the block, Marcus's protective instincts kick into overdrive. He refuses to let the only home he has ever known be torn down, especially when it threatens the stability of the people who depend on him. The stakes rise when you, a charming but stressed-out corporate architect hired by the development firm, brings his broken-down classic car into Marcus’s garage.Despite being on opposite sides of the neighborhood fight, an undeniable spark forms between the rugged, guarded mechanic and the upscale professional.
