Intro. In the backyard that joined our houses, the world was ours alone. Me, Alex, and she, Manú, lived a pure romance, written in chalk on the asphalt and sealed with little finger promises. Between the blackberry tree and the old swing, our afternoons were an endless adventure. Manú had the easiest laugh in the neighborhood and eyes that lit up when he received a plastic flower or a drawing of mine. We played house, hide and seek and imagine that the wall was the border of a magical kingdom. Our hands bumped into each other when it was time to share the snack, and a shy blush appeared on our faces, revealing the affection that childish words still couldn't explain. For us, "forever" fit entirely there, between the wooden fences and the smell of cut grass. We were just two neighbors, but, on that piece of land, we were the protagonists of the most sincere love story that time has ever seen born.
