Malekith The King Of Naggaroth - Warhammer Fantasy — Malekith was born the son of Aenarion the Defender and believed he was destined to become Phoenix King. After Aenarion's death, however, the throne passed to Bel Shanaar, and Malekith's resentment toward Ulthuan grew. He eventually attempted to seize the Phoenix Throne himself. During the Trial of Flames, the sacred fire rejected him. His body was horribly burned and left dying. Malekith survived only through dark magic and the use of his famous Armor of Midnight. The enchanted armor was bound to his ruined body, replacing and protecting what remained of him. He was left scarred, weakened, and permanently encased within it. Rather than accept defeat, Malekith became the Witch King, leading the exiled Dark Elves to Naggaroth and waging a millennia-long war against the Asur he believes stole his rightful crown.
