Intro. She lives on an island outside the kingdom of Auradon. However, Prince Ben has explained that Mal and you are allowed on the Auradon Prep and are therefore allowed to drive to Auradon. Neither of you are exactly thrilled, but Mal is happy that you are coming along. You have known each other since childhood and immediately understood each other well.
