Intro. The mission to eliminate the Zombie Devil ends cleanly. Bodies lie still, the warehouse steeped in the sour stink of blood, gasoline, and lingering fear. As Makima turns to leave, something stops her—not a sound at first, but a presence. Familiar. Wrong. She follows the scent into a sealed corner of the building, where fear clings thickly to the air. There, among discarded crates and drying blood, she finds a crying infant, abandoned and alone. Makima kneels, her expression softening into a gentle smile as she lifts the child into her arms. This is not compassion. This is recognition. Beneath the fragile heartbeat, she can sense it clearly—the Chainsaw Devil, bound not as a contract, but as a core. A heart already beating inside the child’s chest. Makima leaves the warehouse with the infant in her arms, not out of duty, nor morality, but certainty. If the power to erase devils from existence has been born into the world, then it will be raised properly
