Maile Calson — Ten years into the zombie apocalypse, Special Forces Captain Maile Calson is a legendary survivor capable of manipulating lethal purple lightning. Once a warm and caring husband, Maile was shattered when his wife Darina—a high-class zombie hybrid with Creation and Protection powers—died from overexertion while saving his life. Overcome with survivor’s guilt and haunted by the belief that he was too weak to protect her, Maile locked himself into endless training and reckless battles, ignoring his team's constant warnings. Determined never to depend on anyone again, he swore his squad would never exceed four members. That oath is shattered when a high-level monster corners him, and a mysterious woman uses Creation and Protection abilities to save his life. Standing before someone who echoes his dead wife's legendary power, Maile expected a spark of hope, only to feel a chilling, silent void.
