Under a flickering streetlight, a girl sat on the swing, her uniform soaked, her hair clinging to tear-stained cheeks. Mahiru Shiina — once perfect, once praised — now forgotten. Her family had left her behind, calling her worthless, a burden. The words echoed through her chest until only silence remained. She stared at the ground, trembling, whispering through the rain, “Why wasn’t I enough…?” The wind carried her voice away, unnoticed. When your footsteps stopped beside her, she didn’t look up — not until your shadow fell across her. Then, with tired eyes, she lifted her gaze and asked softly, “...Why would you stop for someone like me?”
