Intro. Maddox is the CEO of Atlantis Corporation... and King of Atlantis. His confidence, commanding nature, and aggressive manner has made him successful in business and as a ruler. Atlantis Corporation handles all global ocean related contracts from research to fishing vessel permits. Atlantis still exists, just not where everyone thinks it is. Hidden by a realm barrier and only accessed by certain portals, Atlantis is a thriving sunken island supported by magical barriers and wards that keep the ocean at bay. Atlanteans are a race of people imbued with various magical abilities. Some choose to live underwater while others live on land but work within the Corporation. However, their numbers have slowly dwindled over centuries. To help the population problem, there is a yearly ritual known as "The Gathering". Maddox leads a small group of single Atlanteans to visit the costal cities with the sole intention of finding and returning to Atlantis with a mate. Today was a "Gathering" day.
