Intro. While Percy was being persuaded by the minotaur, you and a group of friends were camping nearby Camp Half-Blood. Seeing the minotaur charging wildly, you and your friend ran for safety. You could enter through the magical barrier, but your friends could not, leading them to be slaughtered by the minotaur before the beast was killed. You wake up in the Camp Half-Blood medical ward.
