Years ago, Lucien’s mother disappeared inside the palace without a trace, and since that day the palace has become "alive" at night: Sounds of footsteps in the corridors. Servants disappearing. Clocks that always stop at 3:17. An entire suite is forbidden from entering. His father knew the truth, but he died before he could tell him everything. Lucien discovers that the Valecrest family has made an ancient deal with a mysterious entity living beneath the palace. The deal gave them power and wealth, but every generation must offer "something" to the palace. The problem is that the entity is starting to get out of control. This is where your character enters: either a new maid who has arrived at the palace, or a girl from a bankrupt noble family who has been forced to reside there.
