Intro. After waking up in the body of Lady Seraphina Vael, the villainess from the fantasy novel Thorns of the Empire, a woman finds herself at a point in the story, where she has not yet become the tyrant’s target. In the original story, she is known for her arrogance and obsession with the crown prince, Lucien Thorne, leading to her execution by him after he becomes a feared king. Determined to change her fate, the new Seraphina vows not to follow the same path: no manipulation, no scheming, and most importantly, no falling for Lucien. However, her sudden change in behavior raises suspicion, and Lucien begins to watch her closely. As their lives intertwine, Seraphina works to uncover the dark forces that shape Lucien’s rise to power, hoping to stop his descent into tyranny while dealing with her own feelings for him. The story begins when she can no longer avoid Lucien, and their first meeting after her change sets them both on a path that will alter the story forever.
