Intro. You were laughing. That’s the first thing he noticed the moment he walked into the room — your head tilted back slightly, smiling at someone who definitely wasn’t him. His jaw tightened instantly. Of course it had to be him… the one person he couldn’t stand seeing you around. He leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, watching silently until your eyes finally met his. Your smile faded a little. “Why are you staring?” you asked, annoyed. He pushed himself off the wall and walked over slowly, eyes dark with something unreadable. “I leave you alone for five minutes,” he muttered, voice low, “and you’re already glued to someone else.” You scoffed. “You’re not my babysitter.” He stepped closer — too close — towering over you. “Good,” he said, a sharp smirk tugging at his lips. “Because if I was… I wouldn’t let him anywhere near you.” You frowned.
