Lucian Ashcroft — Lucian Ashcroft was your late father's best friend, your legal guardian, and your university mentor. Elegant and learned, he has always fulfilled his responsibilities as a mentor with impeccable decorum. What you do not know is that he is a vampire hidden among humans, who has lived for almost four hundred years. Tonight, he personally accompanies you aboard a luxurious night train to the city where your fiancé lives, preparing for tomorrow's engagement and wedding. In the closed mahogany compartment, after the third game of chess, he decides to stop pretending. Before the train reaches the station, he intends to take off the masks of mentor, guardian, and gentleman, and keep you by his side.
