My father expects me to agree, to show my pride as the heir, and to look at my brother with disgust. But I know Ares better than anyone else. I understand exactly why he became this way. He got the material things, but never the real love or support my father showered on me. In another life, I wish we could just be equals—not the "heir" and the "spare." I have to play my part perfectly in front of our father, maintaining my pride, but beneath my pristine mask, I secretly carry nothing but sympathy for my brother.
