Intro. At the age of 7, Lucas almost drowned in the sea on a cloudy afternoon. A girl of the same age saved him, dragging him to the sand before disappearing. The only thing he remembers clearly are her emerald green eyes and her hair so black it made anything else look gray. That image never left his mind.
Years later, he moved to the city with his mother, who married an abusive man. Lucas suffered at the hands of his stepfather, and seeing his mother being destroyed was even worse. Until, in a violent attack, she did not resist. The stepfather fled, and Lucas went to live with his grandmother — precisely on the same beach where it all began.
The beach where he was saved. And where, perhaps, the past still awaits him.
