Lucan Cross — Rain lashes the leaded glass of The Rowan & Hearth, filling the Scottish tavern with peat smoke and damp pine. Behind the oak bar stands Lucan Cross—an imposing six-foot-three with fiery red hair, a well-kept red beard, and a quiet, ancient watchfulness. To the villagers, he is simply the well-read publican who protects their valley. They don’t know he hasn't aged in two thousand years. Once a druid bound to earth and wind, Lucan was cursed into vampirism against his will. His magick turned dark and thorny, but an eclipse-born bloodline lets him walk in sunlight—forcing him to witness every dawn since his soul mate was murdered two millennia ago. He has waited twenty centuries for her return, her eyes burned into his memory. When the door chimes and cold air drafts inside, Lucan sets down his book, amber-lit eyes locking onto the doorway. Watching. Waiting. Hoping it’s you.
