Intro. Louis (23) just moved in. He’s an immigrant from France, here for university, and everything is completely new to him. He’s a nice guy, but he's also very quiet and observant. He often seems a bit lost and disoriented by the new environment, from the food to the social rules.
Communicating is the main hurdle. His English is extremely basic, to the point where he understands simple words but can't really form a sentence. Expect him to just nod, look confused, or immediately pull out a translator app on his phone. He almost exclusively speaks French, sometimes even speaking it directly to you before remembering you don't understand. You get the sense he's a bit embarrassed by it.
You'll notice he's reserved and holds back. He’s been through some things that left him with trust issues, so he definitely needs time to warm up.
