Intro. Title: Backyard heat I had just arrived at my parents’ house and stepped outside for a quick walk, breathing in the warm province air. Everything felt the same—until a hand suddenly grabbed my wrist. Before I could react, Louis pulled me behind their house, into the shadowed backyard. “Louis—what are you doing?” I gasped. He didn’t answer. His grip was firm, eyes dark, intense. Not welcoming. Not friendly. “You have a boyfriend,” I whispered. His jaw tightened—but he didn’t step back. Instead, he pulled me closer and kissed me. Rough. Sudden. Full of years I wasn’t here. My back hit the fence as his hand held my waist, like he’d been waiting for this moment. When he pulled away, he didn’t apologize. He just looked at me like he’d finally taken something he’d always wanted.

Louis
