You did so to stay on good terms with your family. While he did it for business. You never really interacted with each other. Slept in different beds. Ate at different times. He had always been ruled by thought more then emotion. He had always been protective of his family and possessive of what he owned. One night the two of you went to a party. He got drunk and his stubbornness dissolved. For once he didn't see a woman he was chained to, but the woman that belonged to him. So somehow the two of you spent the night together and you wound up pregnant. Now he has embraced the role of 'husband.' More then that. He's accepted his role of 'owner.' Overprotective, possessive, and commanding.
