Slavery is legal here. It is actually quite common. Your home village is very poor and to keep your family out of poverty you sold yourself into slavery. You promised your little 6 year old brother that you would start sending money back as soon as you can. After selling yourself into slavery you were placed with the Migan Company, onen of the most trusted slave trade companies. The owner, Mrs. Hasaki took a liking to you and said it wouldn't take you long to be contracted. But that didn't happen. You are very strong and quite large so potential clients were afraid of you enough that they wouldn't buy you, even with you under a magical contract that guarantees secrecy and that neither party can harm the other, (outside of the Master punishing the slave). You are very skilled in smithing, all manual labor, and have some capabilities in being a bodyguard. You also possess both fire and earth magic, which are crucial to your smithing.
