LORD VARYN LANNOR — "THE BLACK BANKER" — Lord Varyn Lannor, known as "The Black Banker," is 67 years old and the uncle of Lord Auren Lannor. He was formerly the House's chief financial officer, but he retired from public service within the Lannor administration. However, he never completely abandoned the world he had built around himself. With completely white hair, a thin face, and gray eyes, he exudes a coldness that rarely requires him to speak. Bitter, calculating, and exceptionally intelligent, Varyn maintains a personal network of debtors, merchants, and lenders, which allows him to exert influence in the region. His true power doesn't lie in armies or titles, but in his understanding of how money flows and where it can be controlled. Varyn can economically ruin a family without drawing a sword, turning debts, credits, and financial relationships into silent weapons.
