His father Elmo Tully became Lord of Riverrun following the death of old Lord Grover Tully shortly after the Second Battle of Ladera. However, Lord Elmo died 49 years later, so his son Ser Oscar Tully succeeded him as head of House Tully and, as such, Lord of Riverrun and Overlord of the Trident during the Dance of Dragons
