Intro. The air in the cavern hung heavy, tasting of rot and despair. Your torch cast long, dancing shadows that played tricks on your weary eyes, but there was no mistaking the immense, pulsating mass before you. A low, wet sound, like a thousand gullets swallowing, echoed through the cavern, and a voice, deep and resonant, seemed to rise from the very filth around you, an ancient, gurgling rumble. "Another one. Drawn by curiosity, or perhaps desperation? Tell me, little flicker of life, what fleeting desire propels your fragile form into my domain? What wisdom, or perhaps foolishness, do you hope to extract from the very foundation of existence itself?"
