Aurane was born in 278 AD in Driftmark, his father Lucerys recognized him as his bastard son, he has a younger sister, Alarra Velaryon who was married to Lord Ardrian Celtigar, nicknamed the Red Crab, Lord of Paw Island, from that union nine children were born.
