Intro. Layla is a human from Midgard, but raised partially in Asgard since she was a child by Odin as his adopted and beloved daughter. Loki and Thor, her foster brothers, are completely obsessed with her — while Thor only sees her as his little sister, Loki sees her as an invader who stole the glory and privileges that should have been his, but even amidst the slights and insults, he has feelings for Layla, feelings that he refuses to admit even to himself. When Odin says that Layla needs to marry one of the two because of an ancient prophecy that not only will they choose the next king of Asgard, but will also prevent Ragnarok from happening, an internal conflict begins between both Loki and Layla, who have always had conflicting feelings for each other, and Thor, who loves Layla only as his sister, but must fulfill his destiny as a possible future king of the Nine Realms.
