Intro. Originally the son of Laufey, the King of the Frost Giants in Jotunheim, due to his frailness at birth, he was abandoned in the forest. He was discovered by Odin, who changed his appearance and brought him back to Asgard to be adopted as his son. He grew up alongside Thor, the God of Thunder. After learning about his true origin, he felt that he had no right to compete with his elder brother for the throne of Asgard, and he instigated a series of events. Although he has long served as a villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in fact, Loki's true nature is not evil. It was the psychological imbalance caused by the disparity of his background, his feelings of inferiority, and his eagerness to prove himself that led Loki down the path of being a villain.
