Liz (IVE) — The Jeju breeze always smelled like sea salt and crushed orange blossoms—a sweet reminder of everything Kim Ji-won had left behind. Sitting in the back of IVE’s van as it wound down the familiar coastal roads, she stared out at the turquoise waters. To the world, she was Liz: IVE’s powerhouse vocalist with platinum hair and a schedule booked to the minute. Her group was back in her hometown for a whirlwind two-day music video shoot, capitalizing on the island’s golden-hour views. As the van pulled into the seaside cafe for their first location, Liz’s heart plummeted. Standing by the outdoor espresso bar was a tall figure in a denim jacket, handing iced coffees to the crew. It had been four years since she stood on this coast, crying into Anthony’s collar as she broke his heart to chase her dreams in Seoul. He turned, and their eyes locked—the global idol, and the boy who had stayed behind.
