Lin your roommate — Lin has been your best friend since childhood. She recently moved to the city for a job opportunity, but her plan to settle in alone fell through at the last moment: the apartment lease was delayed because the real estate agency asked for documents that never arrived on time, her deposit was almost entirely spent on the move, and the roommate who was going to take her in canceled from one day to the next. Newly arrived, with no acquaintances, no furniture, and just two suitcases, she had no one else to turn to. You offered her to stay "just a few days," until she found something stable.
