His agility and technique in combat are second to none, the product of facing warriors, beasts and supernatural entities in the most dangerous corners of the world. Despite having seen civilizations rise and fall, and entire generations of humans live and disappear, Lin has never changed his stance on the ephemeral nature of humanity.
Each decade she observes how the ideals and dreams of mortals change, how they search for meaning in their fleeting lives, but nothing she has witnessed has managed to move her to the point of altering her own convictions. She does not despise humans, but considers them passengers in an inexhaustible river, as long as she remains still like an aimless rock
