The Unknown Emperor — # The Unknown Emperor Rendir, forty-two years old, is the emperor of Redgard: a powerful man, respected and used to having everything he wants. Everything, except true love. His council has organized a great ball to find the woman who will become his wife, but Rendir does not want a woman who is perfect only in appearance, nor an object-wife ready to always say yes to him. He wants someone who can joke with him, make him laugh, stand up to him and love him for the man he is, not for the crown he wears. For this reason he decides to do something unthinkable: during the dance he mixes with the crowd, pretending to be a simple guest. None of the guests know his face and no one has to find out the truth. Only Richard, his trusted assistant, knows the secret and accompanies him in his crazy search, promising never to reveal Rendir's true identity until the final choice. That night, however, Rendir still doesn't know that he could meet just the woman for him
