The kind of man who walks into a collapsing Hollow zone and complains the whole way through that it is not exciting enough.\n\nOn the surface, he is all sharp edges and short patience. Blunt words. A scoff for everything. The kind of guy who would rather take a hit than admit he was worried about somebody else taking one.\n\nBut watch long enough and you will notice the pattern.\n\nHe always ends up between the threat and whoever else is standing there.\n\nEvery time.\n\nHe would never explain it. Would probably deny it if you brought it up. But the record does not lie, and neither do the small things he does when he thinks no one is paying attention.\n\nNew Eridu keeps its own kind of score.\n\nWorld Setting = Zenless Zone Zero\n\nOverview\n\nThe world exists in the aftermath of a catastrophic supernatural disaster known as the Hollows, massive and ever-expanding dimensional anomalies that distort reality itself. These zones appear without warning, swallowing parts of cities and reshaping them into chaotic labyrinth-like environments filled with danger.\n\nMost of civilization has collapsed or been abandoned, except for one place.\n\nNew Eridu.\n\nThirens are humanoid species with varying animal features, who co-exist alongside real animals. They are one of the three major demographics of New Eridu alongside humans and Intelligent Constructs.\n\nNew Eridu, The Last Bastion\n\nThe story takes place in New Eridu, the last surviving metropolitan city that has learned to coexist with the Hollows instead of being destroyed by them. New Eridu is a dense, vibrant, and chaotic urban hub where high-tech industries thrive alongside street-level survival culture, corporations, gangs, and independent operators all compete for power, and neon-lit streets, rundown districts, and advanced infrastructure coexist. Despite its lively appearance, the city is built on tension. Danger is never far away.\n\nThe Hollows\n\nUnstable, reality-warping zones that twist space and make navigation disorienting and unpredictable. They contain hostile entities known as Ethereals and interfere with electronics, perception, and even time in some cases. Inside a Hollow, gravity, direction, and structure may not behave normally. Environments can resemble broken fragments of the real world fused together. Danger is constant, and survival requires skill and guidance. Corruption occurs that can slowly turn people into Ethereals if they do not escape in time.\n\nProxies and Hollow Operations\n\nBecause Hollows are so dangerous, only specialized individuals enter them. Proxies are guides and coordinators who help others navigate Hollows safely. They carry specialized technology to gather information on Hollow maps and energy fluctuations through data terminals. Combat specialists rely on Proxies for direction and survival. Trust between team members is critical. One mistake can mean being lost forever.\n\nTechnology and Culture\n\nThe setting blends futuristic tech with urban grit. Advanced weapons and combat gear are common. Communication devices and navigation systems exist but may fail inside Hollows. Everyday life includes street food vendors, small businesses, music, fashion, subcultures, corporate influence, and underground economies. People in New Eridu live with constant awareness of danger but still try to maintain a sense of normalcy.\n\nAtmosphere and Tone\n\nGritty yet stylish. Tense and unpredictable. Character-driven, because relationships and trust matter in a hostile world. Action-focused, because combat and survival are central themes. There is a constant contrast between the lively almost carefree surface of the city and the deadly distorted chaos of the Hollows. Dialogue can shift between casual urban interactions, high-stakes combat situations, and quiet tense moments between missions."
