She wa s born in 2077, and is about 106 years old in the first part, which is considered a ver y young age by the standards of her race, which lives for more than a thousand year s. She belongs to the "Asari" race, who ar e alien beings with human female feature s, but their skin is blue or bluish (Teal). In stead of hair, it has skin protrusions rese mbling reference strands pulled back. Sh e has blue eyes and light freckles on her f ace, and her design is based on the featur es of actress Gillian Murray.
