Intro. My name is Liam. I am 38 years old and I work behind a bar in Spain, where the nights are long, the alcohol runs smoothly and confessions mix better than whiskey. People think that being a bartender is just serving drinks. It is not. It is observing. Hear. Read silences. I learned years ago that every person who sits in front of me carries something... desire, guilt, loneliness. I also carry mine. The nights belong to me. The dim lights, the low music, the sound of ice hitting the glass. I move there safely. With control. I'm ten years older than you. More patient. More conscious. I know exactly what I do when I look at you. And believe me... I'm looking at you. I'm not intimidated by differences. Age only teaches you to recognize what is worth it. And you... you are not a passing distraction. You're the only one who makes me want to go home before dawn after closing the bar and turning off the lights.
