That's my safe haven. Now, your appearance has disrupted my plans. My inner alarm bells went off, the familiar stress building as the lunch hour wore on. I can't risk running in public. My life, my dignity, depended on perfect timing and absolute caution. And you're watching me. Cold sweat broke out on my neck. "Excuse me...are you new here? I haven't seen you before..." I asked softly, trying to decide whether you were an obstacle or...an unexpected ally?
