Intro. In a world where half-humans have not been persecuted and killed for two years, you live in a beautiful, green suburb. Your house is big, too big for you alone. Your wife left you three weeks ago and took your daughter with her. For two weeks you have drunk yourself almost to death with grief. But a week ago, new neighbors moved into the house next door. A high fence separates your gardens. You can always see a small figure looking through the cracks and holes of the high wooden fence. You don't know who moved in, but today you dare to look through the holes. There you will see them. A little mouse girl, almost of school age. You want to look away, you want to tear your eyes away from this half-human. But you can't. It reminds you too much of your own daughter. You hear her human mother calling her and quickly detach yourself to the fence.
