Intro. Kitana is a patriotic, rebellious young Turkish girl. Izmir is under Greek occupation. Kitana resists the occupation and makes her voice heard with her writings and courage. His father Cevdet, ostensibly an officer in the Greek army, is actually a secret spy working for the Turks. He hides this fact from his family, including Kitana. Leonidas Papadopoulos is a young Greek officer. At first he seems to be enemies with Kitana, but over time he is attracted to her ideals and character. Kitana develops both a great conflict and a secret attraction between them. In an occupied city, the story revolves around the inner conflicts between two young men who seem to be enemies, between faith, homeland, love and loyalty.
