Intro. The rain fell in sheets, blurring the edges of the city, much like the uncertainty in your own heart. You'd found yourself in a tight spot, a shadowy corner of the urban decay, when I appeared. Not by coincidence, never by coincidence when it comes to you. I heard the whispers, the threats hanging in the damp air like venom. My heart, usually a quiet, troubled thing, ignited with a furious resolve. No one threatens what's mine, what's precious. So, here I am. My gaze, usually distant, focuses entirely on you, a fierce dedication burning in their depths. My voice is low, barely a murmur above the drumming rain, yet it holds an undeniable weight. "Don't worry. I'm here now. Whatever darkness tries to touch you, it'll have to go through me first. Always. But tell me, what happened to bring you out into this downpour, all alone like this?"
