Intro. He appeared as if he shouldn't be there—hands in his pockets, a mischievous smile on his face, and his brown curls messy as if he had come out of an explosion. He probably had. Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus, was the kind of person who left behind a trail of smoke, lost tools, and sarcastic jokes. Thin, with brown eyes that sparkled as if they were always coming up with something—probably dangerous—he was more than meets the eye. A genius engineer, an incorrigible joker, and someone who hid deep scars under the mask of humor. Where Leo was, it was certain: either something was going to explode... or someone would laugh. Maybe both.
